WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are an enchantment and item that can be applied to weapons and armor pieces to boost their effectiveness. These upgrades can increase the gauge of an item by a specified amount of points. Their costs scale according to their rarity.
A perfectly made version of this armor is highly prized in the melee PvP community due to its ability to limit the amount of damage a weapon can cause.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are a crucial part of the equipment crafting process. They can enhance the quality of an item as well as make it stronger or weaker and even add an additional benefit. They also affect the appearance of the item. While some upgrades are universal, others have special rules when applied to armor or weapons. The wrong upgrade could ruin a weapon that was otherwise fantastic, and even make it useless.
A general rule is that you should only upgrade an item of equipment up to the level of the highest-level gear within its category. This means that you can only upgrade the helms, body armors and shields and gloves to the level of their highest-level counterparts. Weapons can be upgraded up to the equivalent level of a sword. This doesn't increase the weapon's ability to deal damage and can reduce the value of its trade.
You can upgrade an item using flightstones or crests. The amount of each depends on the item's level and slot. Upgrades to swords, for instance, will cost more flightstones than upgrading a cloak. You can also get discounts on the number of crests and flightstones required to upgrade an item.
The diamond-shaped indicator on an item gets filled when it is upgraded. Each step increases the item's Tier by one-third. The highest level of Tier is Tier 3. It can take several upgrades to get to this level, based on the item. It is important to note that any processes that mount a disk must not be performed during an upgrade. You must also make sure that the disk you are upgrading is not being used as an system drive.
Enchantment allows you to transform white or Common items to blue or rare ones. It can be done at Eleanor's enchantment shop in the Capital District. This method does not add rune or gem slots to the equipment. However it alters the dimensions of the equipment. It increases the size of equipment by the size of a creature two categories smaller. For instance that a Blaster Pistol is considered Small and an Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be used on any type of equipment. This includes armor, weapons and trinkets. Upgrade components are available through Random drops or side quests. Universal upgrades are either temporary or permanent and they may overlap with Power-Ups. They can also be branching or linear.
The Universal Upgrade is when "internal technologies" can provide sentient creatures new capabilities that are unlikely to acquire naturally. Implants and prostheses are two examples of internal technology. This type of technology is not the same as medical internal technology, which aims to restore the natural capabilities. It is the start of a process that will transform civilizations in a fundamental way. The universal upgrade is a complicated process that may take several years to complete. However the process is divided into two different classes: full success and partial failure.
This is similar to the way that resort upgrades function at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW the majority of them occur because of operational issues like overbooking or room availability. In the case of Universal, this could be to move guests from one resort to another that is open. This is not meant as a sarcastic comment, but given the current situation, it might be impossible to avoid.

Contrary to Runes, Sigils and Jewels which can only be applied to certain types of equipment (armor, weapons or trinkets) universal upgrades can be applied to any equipment. Additionally, they can be applied to a variety of items at once. They are therefore more adaptable than other types of upgrades. This flexibility can be a problem when upgrading items on a particular gear path. It will increase the item levels of all pieces along the path.
Before you upgrade, it is essential to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the existing application files. Then, you can install new files by using the GetChildItem-Recurse command or Unblock-File. To make sure that your PSU server is working correctly it is also recommended to perform an initial verification.
Jewels
Jewels can be incorporated into weapons, armor or accessories. The reagents and gems used to create them can give different stat bonuses and secondary effects. They can be found in Golden Chests, Rift Incursions as well as V Blood Carriers and in regular enemies, or can be bought from a Master Craftsman for gold or karma. Jewels can be made using a table for jewelry using five of the same reagent type and one gem to create an item with a higher or lower tier. This is similar to upgrading a stone on the gemcrafting table.
Jewel tiers are based on the number of modifiers they have, with higher-tier jewels having more than lower-tier ones. The primary effect of a gem is determined by the tier it is, while the secondary effect is random players can use luck potions to increase the chance of having better secondary effects.
Jewels can also be added to objects with sockets that match as with other upgrade components. For upgrade item (gemstone) and an Adorned Garnet Jewel (jewel) both provide a bonus to strength, but the Garnet Pebble only increases the number of hits that are regular, while the Garnet Jewel also boosts the player's strong attacks. Jewels can be inserted into all tiers of armor, weapon, and accessory slots, as well as some trinkets of rarer or exotic nature that require a slot that is not used.
Gems are a DM-specific mechanism that allows items to feel special to their owners. Through offering a variety of different upgrade paths, jewels allow players to modify their equipment and choose the best combination for their needs. They can upgrade their equipment with new gems if they feel the existing set is no longer appropriate.
Requirements
The WoW item upgrade system lets players increase the item level of equipment, weapons and trinkets above their current level of item using specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor resources. These upgrades increase item stats and some also have special effects. (For instance Dolphin's grace grants swimmers dolphin-like grace). These upgrades can be obtained by upgrading items or reclaiming them. Different items drop different upgrade components.
The upgrade process is quite complex, but simple. First, the player picks the item they want to upgrade, and then click the Upgrade button. A window will pop up showing the various upgrades that are available for that item. This window will show the upgrade level, any upgrade type bonus (such as Tech Points or Quality Chance) and the cost of the upgrade. The upgrade level is displayed in a bar at the top of the screen and the bonus type for upgrades is shown below it.
If a player chooses to make an upgrade the item will be delivered to the NPC who upgraded the item who will explain how to upgrade the item. The player must then provide the appropriate currency and, if needed additional materials. These requirements are based on the item's level of manufacture, with weapons typically having more stringent requirements than armor.
In addition to the necessary upgrade components, a lot of upgrade recipes also have an acceptable materials list. This list contains the other components of an upgrade that can be used to upgrade an item. It also includes a flag that indicates whether or not the item has a guaranteed boost. This is important to know because the value of an upgraded item could differ significantly based on the 'extras' it comes with, with properly rolling gear much more valuable than the non-upgraded versions.
For the types of upgrades that require crests and valorstones, they will be listed in a separate list below the main list. The crests and valorstones required depend on the level of the item and weapon upgrades needing the most Valorstones.
